The Feedback Sports racing team came out on Saturday 7/30/11 with a full contingent of 20 racers to compete in the CrankworX Colorado cross country races. It was a great day for mountain bike racing with warm temperatures, sunny skies and excellent course conditions. The CrankworX course (for Pros and Experts) was 25.7 miles long, running from Fraser to the Winter Park resort.
It included a number of long climbs (at altitudes up over 10,000 feet) and steep, technical descents. The course was very demanding, as it required strong overall mountain biking skills and excellent fitness. Team photographer Annette Hayden from Mountain Moon Photography was out on course capturing the racing action.
Our team fared well at CrankworX with 1 win, 3 podium finishes and 12 top-ten finishes. These were all in very competitive fields. Craig Hofer led the way with a win in the Expert 45-49 race.
The other podium finishers were Rich DiGeronimo taking second in the Sport 30-34 race and Bryan Myers taking third in the Sport 35-39 race:

Other Feedback Sports top-ten finishers were Heather Brion (Expert) and Lisa Hudson (Pro) in 4th.

Jeff Connors powering up one of the steep hills on his way to a 5th place finish in the Singlespeed division.

Doug Hudson finished 6th in the Expert 40-44 race on his 18.6 pound hardtail race bike.
Steve Vanderburgh and Pat D'Innocenzo placed 7th and 8th in the Expert 50+ category.

And, Drew Adams finished 10th in Sport 40-44.
In the Winter Park team competition, the Feedback Sports Red team finished 1st with 319 points for the race. The team also sits in 1st place in the overall standings with 5 of 7 races completed. See below for other Feedback Sports race team news for the month of July.
