Tour Divide

If you recall, Feedback Sports racing team member Ross Delaplane embarked on the epic, unpredictable, unsupported Tour Divide ultra cycling challenge on June 10th. It's a 4,418km Mountain Bike journey between Canada and Mexico via the Continental Divide. Some riders, like Ross, chose the northbound route from Antelope Wells, New Mexico to Banff, Alberta. Most chose the southbound route, which did prove to be faster, with less weather and course re-route delays.

This admittedly very brief pictorial summary of Ross' Tour Divide can hardly capture what it was all about, but it will have to suffice for now.

Here's Ross, prepared for the start . . .

Ross ate lots. Every Day.

Ross slept little. Every Day. Usually in worse accommodations than these.

Ross saw lots of breathtaking scenery. Every Day. Even better than this.

His bike broke and had to be welded back together along the way. He developed tendinitis in his knee. He had to wait out weather delays. And, he self navigated the entire route and detours without a GPS device. Oh, and by the way, Ross finished the "tour" in 24 1/2 days, 4th place among the 15 Northbound Tour Divide racers.

Thanks for flying the Feedback Sports colors along the way!
